Han har ett stort hjärta för både fred och rättvisa och skriver sina sånger utifrån en orubblig övertygelse att kärlek och förståelse kan rädda världen. Hans sånger är lågmälda, men intensivt proppfulla med positiva budskap.
Fortfarande så skalar han av melodierna till ett mer stillsamt sound och låter sin egen gitarr ha huvudrollen. Anna Green's piano och bakgrundssång hjälper till perfekt. Tyler Beckett's fiol skiner i ett par sånger. Mark Mariash på trummor och Randy Martin på bas är med på nästan alla låtar, men det tänker man inte alltid på.

As you already may have realized, this is not a light-hearted record. The songs are about our lives and the world we live in. But Ken Dunn is certainly not a doomsday prophet.
He has a big heart for both peace and justice and he writes his songs with a firm belief that love and understanding can save the world. His songs are low-key, but intensely packed with positive messages.
He still arranges the melodies with a quiet sound and he lets his own guitar play the leading role. Anna Green's piano and background vocals fits perfectly. Tyler Beckett's violin shines on a couple of songs. Mark Mariash on drums and Randy Martin on bass are playing on almost all the songs, but you don't always think so much about that.
It is calm folk music and not energetic rock. The music radiates a soothing warmth and Ken's voice sounds inspired and extremely present.
He also writes this about another song: "This is a call to celebrate the magic and wonder of life with every breath we have the good fortune to draw".
If you have a little patience and are prepared to listen properly, you can gain a lot of strength from this music.
