Dirk Powell har producerat och spelar olika stränginstrument och bland övriga musiker märks John McCusker på fiol och Mike McGoldrick, som spelar flöjt. Omskrivna Rhiannon Giddens bidrar med stämsång, givetvis alldeles förträffligt.
Det är luftigt och fräscht, en snygg produktion med klarhet i klanger och det finns inget som stör den lugna stämningen. Kyle Carey sjunger behagligt och lågmält, ibland nästan viskar hon som för att inte störa. Det är vackert, men de sorgsna texterna sprider ett dystert allvar. Men stämningen är ändå lite trolsk, som att vandra genom en lummig skog och fundera på livets små och stora frågor.
De flesta låtar är original-kompositioner, men det finns även några traditionella gaeliska sånger och "Trouble in the Fields", en sång av Nanci Griffith.
"For Your Journey" sjungs nästan utan några instrument och är så stämningsfull och en given höjdpunkt. "Evelyna" är inspirerad av John Hiatt's "Crossing Muddy Waters". Men allra bäst är "Come Back to Me". Tror jag, eller den fina kärleksförklaringen i "Opal Grey", eller ödsligheten i "Tell Me Love". Jag kan mycket väl ändra mig vid nästa lyssning.

The music is airy and fresh, with a laid-back production with clear clarity and nothing interferes the calm atmosphere. Kyle Carey sings very pleasantly and quietly, sometimes she almost whispers not to disturb. It's beautiful, but the sad lyrics spread a gloomy seriousness. However, the atmosphere is like wandering through a lush forest and reflecting on the small and big questions in life.
Most songs are original compositions, but there are also some traditional Gaelic songs and "Trouble in the Fields", a song by Nanci Griffith.
